Connect to ka1fsb.ampr.org Machine

What are the options...

This page may present a list of links that will "call back" to ka1fsb.ampr.org, but whose IP will be "masquerading" as whatever the dialup IP is. Thus, this page has to be dynamically built from the ka1fsb server and uploaded very shorty thereafter... It is only "good" as long as I remain connected over the landline. (When I disconnect, this page will not be a valid "node," and will instead present a message indicating that the ka1fsb machine is not available at that time...)

So, if you see a list of URL links below, then you know ka1fsb is reachable directly! If you don't see those links, then you know the ka1fsb machine is not "hooked" into this page and is not on-line.

NOTE: If you have visted this page more than once today, you need to "reload" or "refresh" this page to be sure that you have the latest version! (Stale copies contain stale IPs.)

There may be several selections available now running on ka1fsb-12:

  • A TTY Chat Link
  • Multiple LinuxNodes: Convers & BBS's
  • The Local Website on SuSE
  • Usage Stats for the Local KA1FSB-12 Website
  • An FTP Archive: Source Code for JNOS & Scripts
  • Radio Station KA1FSB: *Live* (Rx/Tx) Packet Radio Streams
  • A DXCLuster Node
  • An APRS Server Node
  • Access to the MySQL Database for NET105
  • Message Alert Center

If you are a ham, try the LinuxNode. You will find a conference server, CONV, among many other links and services... If you are not a ham, try the TTY chat line. If you want to explore "SuSE," try the website there, or if you want to download source code, or zipped files mentioned on the main website, try the FTP archive... If you want to look someone up on NET105, try the MySQL database query form page. A Message Alert Center now "pages" me.

NOTE : This link will be activated whenever feasible. For right now, it is catch-as-catch can. But generally, it seems to be available from about 9-11am EST or 14:00-16:00 UTC, and 1-3pm EST or 18:00-20:00 UTC, most weekdays and weekends, and nearly anytime when requested by email. However, there may be days when it will not be up... Stop by for a chat if you have time, or take a look at the FTP archive on SuSE! And a new page, Radio Station KA1FSB on SuSE, live packet radio! Have fun... :)

NOTE: The ka1fsb-12.ampr.org machine is currently not on-line...
