The AMPRNet Connection

“ What is the AMPRNet? ”

This page presents information about topics related to the AMPRNet and a few sample links, some of which may use this network. The AMPRNet is the "official" network of the amateur radio world! (Its IP notation always begins with the number 44.)

Most of these 44 networks are on-the-air links; they don't traffic over the internet. However, it is becoming more common to see amateur IPs used in the establishment of gateways which do connect the radio world to the internet world!
