About this Site...

A Little Background: Why this Site

This amateur radio site is dedicated to the development of packet radio. I hope it will serve as a reference and as a forum, or even BBS, to help experimenters and operators with their own projects and day-to-day administration tasks.

The main topics under discussion will be setting up the hardware for a station, configuring the software needed to run it, and tips and hints on how to operate the station once up.

The software focus will be mostly for Linux platforms and the main application will be JNOS, or some flavor of NOS. The AX25 Utilities will also be included. Where possible, I will try to include material for non-UNIX systems...

Over the years, I have received several inquiries about how to configure an AX25 Utilities system, and about how to configure a JNOS system running on Linux. I hope the information found here will serve as a basic reference and guide for those "eccentric" enough to attempt such endeavors... (HI)
